Kaori's Adventure

I set out on a journey smirking with pride and having my sword strapped at my belt. The sun was shining on my face as I approached the lake that was across from my house.

"I can't wait to start out on my own adventure!" I smiled and called out.

I then saw an unconscious girl laying on a rock, resided by the river. I rushed over and tried to wake her.

She moaned lowly on the rock and rolled over. she raised one hand and mumbled
"Five more minutes......."
And puts the hand under her cheek resting on the rock.

"Hey you wake up." I say shaking you lightly.

What's she talking about five more minutes? I wonder who she is..

"Hey you.. wake up please?" I said shaking her a little more aggressively.

She sat up with a loud yawn streching her arms in both directions.
"Alright, Alright I'm up"
She blinked at the girl a few times, and suddenly clutched her head in pain.
"Ouuuuuuch! Ow! it stings"

*stands up quickly underneath a tree near to those two and hits his head alerted by the shouting*
Grr...Stupid girls...

I help her up.

"Um are you alright?" I asked kindly.

Damn she's hurt.. but she is pretty cute.. I wonder is she like me too? Magic?

*runs and jumps up onto a boulder nearby the two girls*
What's going on here... one writhes in pain... the other looks confused...
Hey. What're you doing here!?

"Well I'm out on a journey.. I just set out from my house. I am on my own missions... that's my business though. I saw this girl here and decided to help her out... um who are you?" I ask now looking at the boy.

I've been camping here for a few weeks. you're sure you're not one of... them?

*moves his hand toward his sheathe, ready to react in case she is*

"One of who?" I ask confused and I stand up slowly putting my hand on top of my sword handle as well, able to react as he does.

They call themselves "The Enlightened Ones."
They refuse to accept that anyone else deserves life.
Originally they were only Mages... but now they're a much larger organization... Terrorists.

*walks over to a nearby stream and splashes some water on my face*

"No I've never heard of this group.. but arrogant people just plain out bother me. I would never be so selfish as to my own life.. I would gladly give it away for my friends." I smiled and walked over and splashed some on my face as well.

"My name is Kaori. What's yours?"

I'm... Averdak.

*stands upright*
Former resident of the Terretian province... Though I don't know if anyone would remember it...

...Frankly, TELO seems to be all but absent around here... would you mind... could I travel with you for a ways?

"Sure... I guess... I don't see why not." I smiled and stood upright also.

"Nice to meet you ... uh... Averdark." I held out my hand to shake yours. By the way I dress and act, I'm not a typical girl hehe.

*twitches*
There's only one R in my name...

*shakes her hand anyway, still a bit wary*
So, do you have any idea where you're headed?

"I'm sorry... misspoke." I clear my throat.

"No I don't in fact.. just gonna go out on my own will and way and try to fulfill something that I want to happen, no need to happen." I open my eyes back up revealing the different colored eyes, one blue, one white. I rest my hand back at my side.

*decides not to mention the difference in eye color, as he doesn't want to offend this possible ally*

Well... as soon as this child *points to Revelation* wakes up... we'll see if she's headed anywhere in particular...

"Well yes that is true. I guess we have to wait. And if you were gonna say something about my eyes, it's fine. I know I have different colored eyes... I had it since birth. It doesn't offend.. ask me anything if you need me." I said looking down at the lake to the side, seeing the water sparkle in the sun.

We may be here for a few hours...
*starts a small campfire-type deal and sets some of the few meats I have left over it to cook. strips of my chest plate and gauntlet and lays them down by the boulder. Jumps into the the lake for a swim.*
{to myself:}"Man... Am I asleep? Nobody ever comes out here... TELO are even really rare... Maybe I've finally gone insane... Staring at this tree all day..."

As he did all of that I waited by the girl's side and watched her and the boy at the same time. I protected the girl from any harm that might come to her from her sleeping.. and watched the boy so that he doesn't drown.

I sigh. "So this is the life huh?" I sigh again and rest my arm on the boulder, then resting my head on my palm.

A hooded man walked by, and seeing the humans, sat down near their campfire, watching. He would need to understand their behavior.

*Climbing out of the lake, I dry off and re-dress. hand twitching in anticipation, I walk back toward the campfire, hungry, but ready for battle. Spotting the stranger, I move for my sword*
"You, who are you? TELO slime?"

She yawns and gets up

Without moving, he speaks.


"Why do you trust them?"

"These two that I'm with? I'll let you know at least that I don't trust them... I trust them as much as I do you... Which, as you can probably tell is little, if any.
What do you want? Just to learn about how I function? Are you a scientist?"
